Our policies relating to the COVID-19 virus
The COVID-19 epidemic has caused widespread disruption to "normal" life and we have had to adapt to this new reality. While the news is dire for some industries, we believe that due to the nature of our business we can continue to serve the public and the construction industry safely by adopting common sense practises as outlined by the Ministry of Health.
We have instructed our staff to practise enhanced hygeine and social distancing practises. We have instituted a 14-day isolation period for any employee that has travelled abroad or that is living with someone who may have recently travelled abroad. We have instructed any employee who feels unwell to stay at home and seek medical attention. As well we have cancelled any training courses, trade shows or other meetings that involve groups of people.
At this time we are operating our business as usual but taking steps to limit personal interactions and to reduce the spread of the virus. As part of physical distancing we encourage our customers to contact us by telephone and email where possible and to limit visits to our showroom. Our delivery service is reliable and quick and should be considered as an option instead of material pick up in our yards. If you must visit our showroom or office please be aware that we will be limiting the number of visitors who may be in the building at any one time so that physical distancing can be better maintained. You may be asked to wait outside if there are too many people in our showroom or at our order desk.
Municipal governements in all the regions where our offices are located have passed by-laws mandating the use of masks or cloth face coverings in indoor public spaces. We must therefore ask that visitors to our showrooms and order desk areas please wear a mask or other appropriate face covering. Hand sanitizing stations are placed at the entrance to our offices and showrooms. Please sanitize your hands upon entry. If picking up material in our yard please stay at least 6 feet (2 meters) away from our employees and if possible please remain inside your vehicle while it is being loaded. If you must exit your vehicle for some reason please wear a mask.
Thank you for your understanding and for working together with everyone in Ontario to help check the spread of COVID-19.
