Our policies relating to the COVID-19 virus
The COVID-19 epidemic has caused widespread disruption to "normal" life and we have had to adapt to this new reality. While the news is dire for some industries, we believe that due to the nature of our business we can continue to serve the public and the construction industry safely by adopting common sense practises as outlined by the Ministry of Health.
We have instructed our staff to practise enhanced hygeine and social distancing practises. We have instituted a 14-day isolation period for any employee that has travelled abroad or that is living with someone who may have recently travelled abroad. We have instructed any employee who feels unwell to stay at home and seek medical attention. As well we have cancelled any training courses, trade shows or other meetings that involve groups of people.
We have had no cases or suspected cases amongst any of our staff or their families. Our work environment does not typically involve large gatherings of people.
As part of social distancing we encourage our customers to contact us by telephone and email where possible and to limit visits to our showroom. Our delivery service is reliable and quick and should be considered as an option instead of material pick up in our yards.
At this time we are operating our business as usual but trying to take steps to limit personal interactions and to reduce the spread of the virus. Municipal governements in all the regions where our offices are located have recently passed by-laws mandating the use of masks or cloth face coverings in indoor public spaces. We must therefore ask that visitors to our showrooms and order desk areas please wear a mask or other appropriate face covering.
